The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency released a list of village officials allegedly involved in illegal drugs. The list is said to be verified and validated.
A total of 207 village officials are in the PDEA list.
PDEA chief Aaron Aquino identified the regions with the most number of officials involved in illegal drugs as Bicol with 70 executives; CAR (Cordillera Administrative Region) with 34; and the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) with 13.
The order for the release of the list was made by President Rodrigo Duterte in light of the upcoming barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections on May.
