Candidates, Comelec officials, the police and military, and other sectors of the society held a Unity Walk and Integrity Pledge inside the provincial capitol in Amas, Kidapawan City Saturday morning, March 23.
The activity was spearheaded by the Philippine National Police and attended by candidates from various political parties.
North Cotabato Governor Emmylou Taliño-Mendoza, who is now running for the vice-gubernatorial post, was in attendance along with all other candidates of the Nacionalista Party and the PDP-Laban.
Gubernatorial candidates Mayor Roger Taliño of Carmen and Cong. Nancy Cotamco were not present during the activity.
After the unity walk, candidates were made to affix their signatures in the Integrity Pledge Wall to signify their intention for a honest, orderly, and peaceful elections.
White doves were also released by the attendees at the end part of the program.
