The rampaging floodwaters that inundated most parts of Poblacion Pantukan is one for the books.
Residents say that for decades of living in Pantukan, it was the first time they experienced flooding in Poblacion area.
Photos from the Facebook of Yurikel Deguitos Odac showed rushing floodwaters in the national highway as early as three in the morning of August 13, 2019.
The Pantukan Overland Transport Terminal was also in knee-deep water.
Marvin Samson of the Office of Civil Defense 11 said on Tuesday that a localized thunderstorm affected Barangay Kingking, Pantukan around 11:30 pm of August 12 thus causing the deluge.
He said that they are still waiting for the assessment from Pantukan LGU as of Tuesday morning.
