Marjon Piañar, a 20-year old former scholar of Barangay Una Boxing Program of the Floirendos in Panabo City has won the championship in the Belt and Road China-Asean Boxing Championship 2019 held last October 27 in Nanning, China Boxing Sports Center.
Piañar, a former HRM student of the University of Mindanao Panabo College, won over his Singaporean opponent in a “split and walk over” decision.
Before becoming part of the Philippine Boxing team, Piañar was a scholar of former congressman Tonyboy Floirendo’s Barangay Una Boxing Gym that has produced several international and world champion boxers like Jerwin Ancajas and many more.
